Q: Where do sessions take place?
A: I travel throughout Madison and nearby suburbs. Sessions are held in your home or another quiet, agreed-upon space. Online sessions are available when needed, though students generally progress faster in person.
Q: How long is each session?
A: 90 minutes. Research shows that’s ideal for high-school students—long enough for depth, short enough for focus.
Q: What materials do you use?
A: Official College Board and ACT questions, UWorld, and custom sets I write myself.
Q: What if my child needs to reschedule?
A: Just give 24 hours’ notice and we’ll move it.
Q: How is your approach different from big prep companies?
A: Large companies teach from a fixed script: every student, the same slides and drills. This is sometimes simply necessary if your child is placed in a class with 8–12 other students. There's nothing wrong with the classroom/system-based method, but for larger score gains, a more focused approach is necessary. My plan evolves weekly. Homework and timed drills come directly from the errors found in the prior session. Students spend time only where it matters.
Q: Do you give homework?
A: Yes—short daily packets (about 20 minutes) tailored to your child's needs by me after each section.
Q: Do you teach content or strategy?
A: Both. Your child will master every rule the test covers and how to apply them under time pressure. We build both accuracy and execution.
Q: Do you work with students who already score high?
A: Yes. For high scorers, the focus is on precision and the elimination of silly errors—eliminating the few habits that still cost points.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Cash, ACH, Venmo, or Stripe—after each session or by plan, whichever you prefer.
Q: Are there contracts or minimums?
A: No contracts. You can stop at any time.
